WORSHIP

Our corporate response and expression of love to God

God places special importance on believers worshiping together. Through each service at Covenant, Christ Jesus is exalted. We celebrate all that God has done for us through Him, giving thanks with songs, teaching, and the sacraments.

Covenant is a great place to come together to worship. You will find a comfortable atmosphere, where dress is casual, people are friendly, and all ages worship together. We provide two Sunday services, each with its own character.

SUMMER WORSHIP SCHEDULE - Sundays at 10:00 AM (Beginning June 9, 2013)

This is a combined worship service where we all come together as an entire Church. Children through grade 2 are dismissed prior to the sermon for their own worship time. Following the service there is an opportunity for prayer with one of our “prayer ministers” as well as Holy Communion served by one of our Church Leaders.

Sundays at 9:00 AM

This is a blended worship service, combining traditional hymns that draw upon the rich history of the church and praise music. Worship is led by a vocal team accompanied by various instruments. Additionally, the choir enriches this service with a variety of musical selections. In this multi-generational service, worship and prayer serve to focus our minds and prepare our hearts to receive the teaching of God’s Word through sermons that are both deep and applicable to our lives. Children and youth typically attend Sunday School during the 9:00 AM worship service.

Sundays at 10:45 AM

This is a contemporary style worship service where we praise God in a manner that is joyful and energetic. Worship usually begins with three or four praise songs that the congregation sings accompanied by our adult-contemporary band (featuring guitars, drums, bongos, piano, bass and keyboard) and led by a vocal team. Following a brief welcome and time of prayer, our Pastors deliver a message that provides encouragement using Biblical illustrations and life application to promote growth as individuals and together as a congregation. At this service children through grade 3 are dismissed prior to the sermon for their own worship time.

Following each service there is an opportunity for prayer with one of our “prayer ministers” as well as Holy Communion served by one of our Church Council members.

Approximately once a quarter (on the 5th Sunday of a month) we have a BIG SUNDAY at 10:00 AM. This is a combined worship service where we all come together as an entire Church. Check this website for the times and dates of BIG SUNDAY.
